Newly launched consumer advocacy organization meets BBB's Standards for Trust; company says a thin track record is a normal part of being new, not something to hide from.
AmeriVanta, a nationwide consumer advocacy and intake organization headquartered at 15169 N. Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85254, today announced it has been accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Accreditation means AmeriVanta applied for and was evaluated against BBB's Standards for Trust -- the organization's published benchmark for how a business advertises, communicates, and responds to the people it serves -- and was approved to carry the BBB Accredited Business seal.
Why the Profile Is New
AmeriVanta launched its consumer services from Scottsdale earlier this year. Because the company is new, its BBB profile does not yet carry an extended complaint or review history -- there simply hasn't been time to build one. The company is stating that plainly rather than letting a visitor wonder about it: accreditation reflects that AmeriVanta met BBB's standards at the time of its application, not a multi-year track record. "A new BBB profile just means a new company -- it doesn't mean anything is being hidden," the company said in a statement. "We'd rather say that directly than have someone land on our profile, see that it's new, and wonder what that means. It means we just started, and accreditation is one of the first things we did."
What Accreditation Verifies
BBB Accreditation is based on eight published Standards for Trust. Businesses are expected to:
• Advertise honestly -- ensure marketing and sales offers are truthful and made in good
faith.
• Tell the truth -- clearly and prominently disclose material terms of products and
services.
• Be transparent -- avoid making customers hunt for information that could affect their
decisions.
• Honor promises -- abide by written and verbal agreements, commitments, and
representations.
• Be responsive -- respond promptly and professionally to complaints, in good faith.
• Safeguard privacy -- collect only the personal information needed, and protect it from
misuse.
• Embody integrity -- approach marketplace interactions and commitments in good
faith.
BBB's standards also reference building trust through a sustained track record over time -- a standard every accredited business, including AmeriVanta, continues to be measured against as its history accumulates. AmeriVanta's BBB profile is publicly viewable at bbb.org and will reflect the company's record as it grows.
