R. S. Rood (Robert S. Rood) was born in Mount Vernon, Washington, approximately 40 miles from the Canadian border, in 1950. He and his wife of 41 years, Linda, raised six children and are blessed with 22 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
