More Than 465 County of Orange Teamsters Walk Off the Job as Agreement is Not Reached
ORANGE, Calif., Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- County of Orange Teamsters have been forced to launch an unfair labor practice strike this morning after the county failed to offer a fair contract. Today at 11 a.m. PT, while the Orange County Board of Supervisors meets, Local 952 members on strike will hold a press conference to address the work stoppage and subsequent disruptions to county services.

Teamsters work across OC Public Works, OC Waste & Recycling, OC Community Resources, and other local operations. The county fell far short of making meaningful movement during bargaining over seven months and is still refusing to include retroactive pay as part of a new agreement.
Delays to public services may impact more than 3 million Orange County residents.
