Eight-foot double entry doors open into a foyer intentionally designed with enough scale for a baby grand piano or statement piece of art.
Beyond the foyer, the main living space is filled with natural light, high ceilings, bamboo flooring and custom details. A wall of glass doors draws the eye toward the screened pool and outdoor living area, while the kitchen’s tilework, cabinetry and built-ins continue the artistic character found throughout the residence.
The first floor also includes a den, while the home’s five bedrooms offer flexibility for family, guests or additional creative and work spaces.
Outside, mature landscaping and Allendale’s familiar tree canopy create a private setting while keeping the home convenient to downtown St. Petersburg, restaurants, parks, shopping and the waterfront.
For Pedone, the appeal of the property goes beyond its individual design choices.
“There are beautiful houses, and then there are houses that stay with you,” Pedone said. “Nancy’s home is a beautiful house, and it’s also one with a story. You notice something new every time you walk through it. There really isn’t another one like it.”
